How is chicken halal-certified?
A facility applies to a DAFF-recognised Islamic body, which audits the slaughter, boning, and handling processes against Islamic law. Approved facilities are listed on the certifier's records and, where relevant for export markets, on destination-country registers like the Malaysia DVS list. Certification is periodic and re-audited.
Where does this data come from?
Our data is imported from the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) recognised Islamic bodies list and the Malaysia DVS approved plant list. We refresh imports periodically and every entry shows a verified date.
